Why Coon's Ventures
Many years ago, I became best friends with a man 60 years my senior. We very quickly became best friends and was pretty much inseparable. He had never had children of his own and I soon became the grandson that he never had. He had just moved back to the small East Texas town of Troup to take care of his aging mother. One day while I was with him (I was about 4 years old) his mother in her late 80’s made the comment that I was just like a little raccoon what I didn’t get into and tear up I messed on. Well the nickname stuck and was quickly shortened to Coon. A name that I have proudly carried ever since.
What's to Come
I created Coon’s Ventures to keep up with the miscellaneous jobs that I perform. Sometimes its performing work as a handyman and then it may be cooking and selling BBQ to friends, neighbors, and family. I have always wanted to own my own company and restaurant. Hopefully soon part of this dream will come true. Keep checking back and see what is new.
What Coon's Ventures is About
I have worked with my hands all my life from wood and metal working to catering a wedding I have never feared hard work and don't plan on starting now. I was raised to work hard and to do my best at everything that I do. My way of thinking is to do it right and take no short cut that could compromise the quality of work performed.
Lets get to work.

At Coon’s Ventures we strive to put God and Jesus Christ our Savior first and foremost. We believe that by doing so we will be able to better serve not only our community but our employee’s along with their families. As founder and Owner, I pray that we will be able to bring each venture on smoothly and with help of my employees to gain the trust and the support of our community. As we grow and move into the future it is one of my goals to be able to give back to my community not only by creating jobs but by supporting existing local programs and other community needs.
As we move forward, I pray that we can make a difference within our community. I plan on pushing my employees to put God first, Family second, our community third, and Coons ventures fourth in their lives. In doing so and with your support I believe that we will be able to make a great difference within our community and continue to grow.
